The College hosts a webinar prior to every sitting of the Entry-to-Practice Examination. The webinar covers important information regarding applying for the exam, what to expect on the day of the exam, and allows for a question and answer period from applicants. The webinar generally takes place three months prior to the exam, before the application deadline to ensure we can answer applicants questions before the deadline.
The exam can be written in English or French. You must indicate your preferred language on the Examination Registration Form. Any request to change the preferred language must be made in writing (email, fax or mail) and received by the College at least four weeks before the exam date. You will write the exam in your chosen language. For example, if you chose to write the exam in English, you cannot request to write the exam in French on the morning of the exam.
The exam fee is $400 per attempt. The fee must be paid in full by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), or by certified cheque or money order, made payable to the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. If your payment is returned for insufficient funds, you will be charged an NSF fee of $40.
This fee covers the costs of developing the exam, invigilators and their training, booking exam sites and psychometric review of results.
Changes to name and contact information
In the event of a name change during the registration process, you must notify the College immediately via email and submit proof of the name change.
If your contact information (email address, telephone number, home address, etc.) changes during the registration process, you must notify the College immediately via email.
Unless you notify the College, all correspondence about the exam such as logistics and results, will be sent to the email address you first provided on the online application.
You can defer and write the exam at a later date for any reason, including not being ready to write. Requests for deferral must be emailed at least seven days before the exam. The exam fee will be credited in full toward the next sitting.
If you do not want to write the exam and do not want to have the exam fee credited toward a later date, you can withdraw from the exam. If you withdraw, you will receive a 50% refund of the exam fee if the withdrawal occurs at least 15 calendar days before the exam date. If the withdrawal occurs within 15 calendar days of the exam date, you will not be refunded any amount.
A partial refund may be issued to applicants who withdraw within 15 calendar days of the exam date with a documented illness or on compassionate grounds. View the Fee Refund Policy

If you want to change your location of writing, you must email the College at least four weeks before the date of the exam.
