Ethics and Professionalism

All kinesiologists registered in the General Class are required to complete the Ethics and Professionalism e-Learning Module at least once.

The module will help you better understand how to apply the College’s Code of Ethics in daily practice and the process of making ethical decisions. The module contains multiple choice practice scenarios to help you think about ethical dilemmas and identify opportunities for improvement. The module is not designed to cover every potential ethical challenge, but rather to get you thinking about these issues.

Completion may be counted as a learning activity for your learning plan. Certain topics, such as ethics, are critical to delivering patient/client-centred care, and require the College to encourage mandatory learning. By completing this module, you are demonstrating your commitment to improving your practice, which increases the public’s confidence in kinesiology.

It should take you between one and two hours to complete the module, and you may complete it at your own pace individually or with a group.
