Council & Committees

Council

Similar to a board of directors, Council guides COKO and ensures COKO fulfills its legislated mandate. Council is responsible for setting strategic and policy direction and making decisions that prioritize public protection.

Under Council’s direction, COKO is led by the Registrar/CEO, who is responsible for carrying out the College’s day-to-day operations.

Council meets at least four times per year, and all meetings are open to the public.

Committees

Committees play a vital role in supporting the work of Council. Each Council member serves on at least two committees. There are two types of Committees—Statutory Committees and Non-Statutory Committees.

Together, these committees help ensure the College operates effectively and in alignment with its public protection mandate.
