Mandatory e-Learning Modules

As part of the Quality Assurance program, all kinesiologists registered in the General Class are required to complete the mandatory e-Learning modules at least once during their registration with the College.

Importance of completing e-learning modules

Completing these modules is an important part of protecting the public. Each module introduces kinesiologists to key practice issues and fundamental concepts, helping them integrate new knowledge into their professional practice. This supports the goal of continuous improvement and high-quality care.

The two mandatory modules

Ethics and Professionalism e-Learning Module

This module supports kinesiologists in applying the College’s Code of Ethics to daily practice. It provides guidance on ethical decision-making and professional conduct.

Prevention of Sexual Abuse e-Learning Module

This module helps kinesiologists understand:

  • What constitutes boundary violations and sexual abuse
  • How to recognize and respond to warning signs
  • The importance of mandatory reporting obligations
  • How to appropriately handle concerns or disclosures related to sexual abuse

Module Features

Each module includes multiple-choice practice scenarios designed to test kinesiologists’ understanding of key concepts and their ability to analyze relevant issues.

Kinesiologists are expected to use their results to identify areas for improvement and incorporate them into their individual learning plans.

While both modules do not cover every possible practice scenario related to ethics and sexual abuse prevention, they are intended to prompt critical thinking and deeper awareness about these important topics.

The College also uses aggregate results from the modules to identify common knowledge gaps and determine where additional educational resources may be helpful for the profession as a whole.

Completing the modules

The modules can be accessed through the online Skilsure Portal, the platform for e-learning modules and member self-assessments.

To log in:

  • Click the tab in the top left to select the module you wish to complete
  • Username: Your 5-digit (or 2-digit) College registration number.
  • Password: Your date of birth in the MMDDYYYY format (if this is your first time logging in to the Portal)

Completion of both modules may be counted as a learning activity in your professional development.

Non-compliance

Kinesiologists who fail to complete the modules may be

  • selected for a Peer and Practice Assessment (PPA),
  • referred to the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC) for non-compliance.
