Corby Anderson -
Corby Anderson is a Certified Athletic Therapist and Registered Kinesiologist. He completed his undergrad degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario, a Specialized Honours Degree in Kinesiology, and a certificate in Sports Therapy from York University. He has completed continuing education courses in Ergonomics, First Aid/CPR training, injury management, Psychological safety in the Workplace, and Mental Health First Aid.
He has worked at Centennial College as an Ergonomic Specialist and Wellness consultant for the past 11 years. He is responsible for staff’s ergonomic concerns (medical or non-medical related) and provides education sessions regarding posture, workstation setup (both home and workplace), pacing strategies, and injury reduction. Corby also manages the Wellness Division at the college designing and implementing wellness initiatives, seminars, and education sessions. He has worked extensively with youth, amateur, and professional sporting populations, providing injury prevention training, on-field medical coverage, and injury rehabilitation. He has also worked as part of medical teams for elite-level events such as Team Canda Premier Cheerleading World Championships, Pan Am Games, The Invictus Games, Power tumbling/Gymnastics, Provincial/National Taekwondo and Karate Team selections championships. Corby is also heavily involved with emergency response training with FAST Rescue as a First Aid/CPR instructor and examiner. He continues to provide first aid services to coaches in various sports and health care professionals.
